Abstract

Adapted from her opening address at the October 2017 CPED convening, Perry offers reflections on the importance of documenting and sharing evidence within the CPED consortium as the organization moves into its next 10 years.

Author Biography

Jill Alexa Perry, Executive Director, CPED Founding Editor, Impacting Education Research Associate Professor, University of Pittsburgh

Dr. Jill Perry is the Executive Director of the Carnegie Project on the Educational Doctorate (CPED) and a Research Associate Professor in the Department of Administration and Policy Studies at the University of Pittsburgh. She is the Founding Editor of Impacting Education.
Working with Dr. David Imig and Dr. Lee Shulman, Dr. Perry began CPED in 2007 as part of her doctoral studies at the University of Maryland. Her research focuses on professional doctorate preparation in education, organizational change in higher education, and faculty leadership roles. Her publications have appeared in Planning and Changing Journal, Journal of School Public Relations, Innovation in Higher Education as well as in several books and practitioner journals. She has over 20 years of experience in leadership and program development in education and teaching experience at the elementary, secondary, undergraduate, and graduate levels in the US and abroad. She is a Fulbright Scholar (Germany) and a returned Peace Corps Volunteer (Paraguay).
